Melissa Nitti is a Principal at ASGK Public Strategies.
Prior to joining ASGK, Melissa served as press secretary for the Obama for America campaign in Kansas City and northwest Missouri. In that capacity, she managed media relations, served as campaign spokesperson, and directed earned media events including press conferences, candidate interviews and surrogate visits.
Previously, Melissa worked as an associate at the Strategy Group’s Los Angeles office, where she developed and executed direct mail and earned media campaigns on behalf of political candidates and associations.
As account manager at Los Angeles-based communications firm Griffin Schake, Melissa managed media relations, message development, event production and written communications. She worked on a wide range of public affairs, philanthropic and entertainment clients including California First Lady Maria Shriver, The California Endowment, and Al Gore’s Live Earth.
Melissa graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a degree in political science.
